Your 3.0L twin-turbocharged engine does not employ the standard air-to-air front mount intercooler (FMIC). Like many current turbocharged vehicles, the Nissan Z uses coolant to cool the intake air charge via an air-to-water heat exchanger. While this strategy may be adequate for a stock vehicle under ideal conditions, it quickly becomes heat-saturated, reducing horsepower.
