We are now offering DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Megasquirt 2 kits for customers who would like to develop their own harness, or learn how to modify the boards on their own. For those who would like to take on the project of building your own Megasquirt system, we offer 3 package options.
All of the following packages will come standard with the following
Megasquirt 2 ECU
MS2 Blank Engine Room Harness
GM IAT Sensor and Pigtail
Tuning Cable and USB Adapter
Bosch BIP373 Igniter Chip
NOTE TO ALL BUYERS : This is a DIY kit, meaning “do-it-yourself”. This means we do not provide any technical support for these DIY kits under any circumstances. This is for many reasons, some of which are related to specific build practices employed by the user end, variances in wiring techniques, setups, etc. The other reason is this kit is priced as low as possible for people wanting to save money and build their own kit. It is intended for intermediate and advanced builders. We provide free tech support with all of our Plug and Play kits.
The first is a completely UNASSEMBLED Megasquirt 2 v3.0 which will come with all of the components that need to be soldered to the PCB (Printed circuit board). Assembly instructions are available for free, and we will e-mail you a base tune as well.
This is the cheapest option as all assembly will be the responsibility of the buyer.
The second package we offer is a PRE-ASSEMBLED Megasquirt 2 v3.57 ECU which is fully assembled from the factory, and will include the ignition triggering circuit, and igniter chip soldered to the board for your convenience. This package is a MUST for those who may be uncomfortable soldering directly to the PCB and we offer this as a convenience option. We will also flash a base tune for you as well. This kit still features a blank MS2 engine room harness for you to cater to your specifications.
The third package we offer is an extension of the first two, which for an additional $100 we will provide a blank, weather resistant fuse and relay box, as well as all necessary NEW electrical connectors needed to wire up your Datsun. This includes the following
All 6 Fuel Injector Connectors (EV1, EV6, Denso, etc)
Coolant Head Temperature Sensor Connector
(CAS) Crank Angle Sensor Connector for underneath the distributor
2.2k Ohm Resistor required for the CAS circuit
Throttle Position Sensor Connector
Electric Fuel Pump Connector
