Richard's 82' 280zx Turbo Conversion

IMG_0105_edited.jpg

A project 2 years in the making. Richard originally got in contact with us to get his 77’ 280z up and running with a L28ET swap coupled with one of our Megasquirt 2 Plug and Play Kits. We did the initial engine tear down, inspection, and sent it off for machining. Once we were ready to swap the engine over, we were confronted with some major rust issues on the 280z, to the point that it was much more than initially thought. Richard chose to substitute the 280z for a relatively solid 280zx N/A that had been sitting for a few years.

This 280zx had solid frame rails, solid floor pans, and only minor surface rust, and was a prime candidate for restoring back to it’s former glory. Couple that with a freshly built L28ET, and some other performance parts we offer, and it was an easy investment decision to make.
